DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lorenzo was located near latitude 21.5 North, longitude 44.1 West. Lorenzo is moving toward the north-northeast near 14 mph (22 km/h). A turn toward the northeast at a faster forward speed is expected later today. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected, and Lorenzo is forecast to dissipate later today. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
