DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 300 PM GMT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Fay was located near latitude 33.3 North, longitude 32.0 West. Fay is moving toward the south near 5 mph (7 km/h). A gradual turn toward the southwest and west-southwest is expected over the next few days. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Continued weakening is forecast, and Fay could degenerate to a post-tropical remnant low in a couple of days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
