A NORTHEASTWARD MOTION WITH A SMALL INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS. ALEX IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE MOVING AWAY FROM THE OUTER BANKS THIS EVENING.
