...BONNIE REGAINS A LITTLE STRENGTH AS IT APPROACHES THE
PANHANDLE...

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE
FLORIDA PANHANDLE AND NORTHWEST FLORIDA FROM THE ALABAMA/FLORIDA
BORDER EASTWARD TO THE MOUTH OF THE SUWANNEE RIVER.

AT 7 AM CDT...1200Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM BONNIE WAS
ESTIMATED NEAR LATITUDE 29.0 NORTH... LONGITUDE 86.1 WEST OR ABOUT
80 MILES SOUTHWEST OF APALACHICOLA FLORIDA.

BONNIE HAS BEEN ACCELERATING THIS MORNING AND NOW IS MOVING TOWARD
THE NORTHEAST NEAR 22 MPH. A NORTHEASTWARD MOTION WITH AN INCREASE
IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. ON THE
FORECAST TRACK...BONNIE IS EXPECTED TO MAKE LANDFALL ON THE FLORIDA
PANHANDLE BETWEEN PANAMA CITY AND APALACHICOLA WITHIN THE NEXT FEW
HOURS.

REPORTS FROM AN AIR FORCE RESERVE HURRICANE HUNTER INDICATE THAT
BONNIE HAS REGAINED A LITTLE STRENGTH. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE
NEAR 55 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS...MAINLY TO THE SOUTHEAST OF THE
CENTER. LITTLE CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS EXPECTED PRIOR TO LANDFALL.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 70 MILES FROM THE
CENTER.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1003 MB...29.62 INCHES.

COASTAL STORM SURGE FLOODING OF 1 TO 3 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE
LEVELS...ALONG WITH LARGE AND DANGEROUS BATTERING WAVES...CAN BE
EXPECTED NEAR AND TO THE RIGHT OF WHERE THE CENTER MAKES LANDFALL.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 6 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED
HIGHER AMOUNTS...CAN BE EXPECTED IN ASSOCIATION WITH BONNIE.

ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE LATER TODAY OVER THE FLORIDA
PANHANDLE AND SOUTHERN GEORGIA.
