...HERMINE WEAKENING OVER COOLER WATER...

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHEASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS FROM WOODS HOLE TO PLYMOUTH INCLUDING MARTHAS
VINEYARD AND NANTUCKET. THE TROPICAL STORM WARNING MAY BE
DISCONTINUED LATER TONIGHT OR EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

AT 8 PM AST...0000Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM HERMINE WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 39.9 NORTH...LONGITUDE 71.3 WEST OR ABOUT
110 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF MARTHA'S VINEYARD MASSACHUSETTS.

HERMINE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 30 MPH. A MOTION TO THE
NORTH OR NORTH-NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED UNTIL LANDFALL OCCURS IN
SOUTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS LATER TONIGHT.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 40 MPH WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. CONTINUED WEAKENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS
AS THE STORM MOVES OVER COLDER WATER AND BECOMES EXTRATROPICAL.
HOWEVER...WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH COULD BRIEFLY AFFECT THE AREA
OF SOUTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS TONIGHT OR EARLY TUESDAY.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 75 MILES MAINLY TO
THE EAST AND SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER.

THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1010 MB...29.82 INCHES.
