DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Hurricane Danny was located near latitude 13.4 North, longitude 46.6 West. Danny is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue through early Saturday. A turn toward the west is forecast by Saturday evening. Maximum sustained winds remain near 80 mph (130 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is possible during the next 24 hours, but Danny should begin to weaken on Saturday. Danny remains a tiny hurricane. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 10 miles (20 km) from the center, and tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km).
