located near latitude 23.2 North, longitude 41.0 West. Fred is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h). A turn
toward the northwest and a decrease in forward speed are forecast by
tonight, followed by a turn toward the north on Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some fluctuations in strength are possible during the next 48 hours.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
