At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Fred
was located near latitude 24.1 North, longitude 43.1 West. The
depression is moving toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). A
turn to the north is expected on Sunday, with a turn to the
northeast forecast by late Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
No significant change in strength is forecast during the next 48
hours.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb (29.83 inches).
