At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Fred
was located near latitude 25.7 North, longitude 43.2 West. The
depression is moving toward the north near 9 mph (15 km/h). A
turn toward the northeast with an increase in forward is expected by
tonight.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher
gusts. No significant change in strength is forecast during the next
48 hours.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb (29.83 inches).
