At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ida was
located near latitude 20.9 North, longitude 46.8 West. Ida is
drifting toward the east-southeast near 2 mph (4 km/h) and this
motion is expected to continue through Wednesday. A turn toward the
northeast and then toward the north-northeast is forecast on
Thursday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 175 miles (280 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
