At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Twelve
was located near latitude 17.7 North, longitude 30.4 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h), and a
motion toward the west or west-southwest is expected during the
next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1009 mb (29.80 inches).
