A HURRICANE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THE MOUTH OF THE PEARL
RIVER TO APALACHICOLA FLORIDA.

AT 7 AM CDT...1200Z...THE TROPICAL STORM WARNING IS DISCONTINUED
FROM EAST OF APALACHICOLA FLORIDA TO YANKEETOWN. A TROPICAL STORM
WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THE MOUTH OF THE PEARL RIVER TO
GRAND ISLE.

AT 7 AM CDT...1200Z...THE EYE OF HURRICANE IVAN WAS LOCATED INLAND
NEAR LATITUDE 31.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 87.7 WEST OR ABOUT 90 MILES
WEST-SOUTHWEST OF MONTGOMERY ALABAMA.

IVAN IS MOVING SLIGHTLY EAST OF DUE NORTH NEAR 17 MPH. A
NORTH-NORTHEASTWARD MOTION ACROSS ALABAMA IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT
24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 80 MPH WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. CONTINUED GRADUAL WEAKENING SHOULD CONTINUE AS THE HURRICANE
MOVES INLAND. HURRICANE FORCE WINDS COULD SPREAD INLAND UP TO ABOUT
150 MILES NEAR THE PATH OF THE CENTER.

HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 50 MILES FROM THE
CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 290
MILES.
