* At 725 PM EDT, Flash Flooding is ongoing! Emergency management
reported in Columbus County of numerous people rescued from their
vehicles stalled across flooded areas and roadways. Additional
reports from Columbus County 911 continue to illustrate many roads
remain overridden with water with many too deep to drive through.
Between 3 and 6 inches, with isolated higher amounts, have fallen
during the past 6 hours. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2
inches remain possible within the warned area.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* At 559 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated widespread rain with
embedded thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the area.
Reports from Columbus County 911 illustrate numerous roadways
overrun by water across the county. Between 2.5 and 5 inches of
rain have fallen during the past 3 hours. Additional rainfall
amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by widespread heavy rain.

in the warned area. Flash flooding is either ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

* Until 330 PM EDT.

* At 230 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated patchy light rain affecting
the area with additional amounts of one tenth of an inch or less
possible during the next few hours. However, the runoff from the
previous heavy rains causing the current flooding, will continue
to slowly recede mainly due to the higher than normal tide levels
that are also slow to lower.

with reports of ongoing flooding with some roadway closures.
Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen the past 3 hours.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area, especially south of Briarcliffe Acres to Garden City.
Flash flooding is already occurring.

* Until 200 PM EDT.

* At 1055 AM EDT, Flash flooding is ongoing across southeastern
Georgetown county, including the City of Georgetown. Between 5 and
9 inches of rain have fallen. While minimal additional rainfall is
expected, current flooded areas will be slow to drain, especially
with upcoming high tide at 12:45pm. Therefore, the Flash Flood
Warning has been extended to cover the slow recession of flooded
waters in the warning area.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
