I agree, the local stations don't seem to be really taking this seriously.

Agreed they Suck. It appears they took the night off. Had hurricane warning that was suppose to come through Lake Toho, where I live, weather alert went off, turned on tv, couldnt believe there was no coverage, went to New 13 and his radar was zoomed in on Daytona talking about how much rain they would get later today. Not what I needed.

Yeah, what they're showing in that WESH video stream is not what's on TV. It's the NBC early, early show or something. This after they've been bragging about how they're the only station with reporters on both coasts and all that.

Just a quick question, is it unusual for indoor pressure to be a lot different from outdoors? Because I have a barometer indoors, and it says its 1018 mb (down from 1022 twelve hours ago), but that can't be right. Unless it's broken, I guess that's possible.

No question about the one cluster that just passed here near the airport where I live.. there is another cluster around St. Cloud heading our way that is showing rotation as well. They just shut the airport flights down because of the cluster coming at us.

Wilma is up to 140 mph...

Good Morning all...live here from Deerfield Beach. Was woken up by (i) some drunk calling my cell looking for "Johnny Mellonhead" and (ii) the howling wind and rain. I have a 40-50 foot Oak Tree about 6 feet from my back patio and the acorns are pelting the metal pan roof and making an awful racket. Reports from here that wind is gusting upward of 47 mph...

I cannot imaging how bad things are going to get here shortly. Gotta say, it's rather weird watching it on TV in my kitchen here and knowing/seeing this monster's arrival is just a matter of time. 70nm eye! Good God. Like watching a train wreck...it's awful and you want to look away but you're glued. I will report conditions here for as long as I have power. The only upshot of Wilma is she's moving fast and ushering in some much welcomed cooler weather.

Stay Safe ALL!

Pressure [Re: native]
      #62779 - Mon Oct 24 2005 04:40 AM

My pressure is dropping like a rock!!!!!!!!! 29.32" and falling rapidly. A drop of .10" in the last hour. I am going to shatter my lowest pressure reading from Frances. Winds really picking up too. Check the pressure/wind relationship graphs on my weather station. Power will go soon, I bet.
