From NHC at 25/09Z:
"At 120 knots, Category IV Amanda is the second strongest May hurricane in the eastern Pacific basin on record, behind Hurricane Adolph in 2001."

Amanda is expected to slowly turn to the north and then north northeast and weaken to a Tropical Depression by the end of the week. Amanda poses no threat to land.
