Area of Interest - Invest 94L in Far Western Gulf of Mexico
      Fri Jul 05 2013 11:19 PM

At 05/18Z, Invest 94L had a weak circulation located near 23N 96W with winds of 20 knots and a central pressure of 1011MB. Strong westerly shear has limited most of the convection to the eastern side of the system, however, the shear is expected to slowly relax over the weekend. A slow north to north northwest movement is likely. SSTs in the area are at 30C.

Probability of development over the weekend is currently pegged at 20% by NHC, but even if the system remains weak, heavy rains, enhanced by some over-running, are possible over portions of southeast Texas and southern Louisiana.
