Here in Daytona Beach Shores (DBS) one block inland from the Sunglow Pier, observed sustained 20 mph gusting to 30+ this morning. This system's close proximity down the coast to the south is producing more wind and much larger surf than Hermine's effects. Nearly 1/2" of precip (submitted at 7am for CoCoRaHS station FL-VL-42) was measured from several brief pre-dawn rounds of squally showers, Only brief light sprinkles since, but still quite breezy. And of course, today is trash day, so lots of small wind-blown debris. |
