Typhoon Conson
      #15119 - Wed Jun 09 2004 02:09 PM

Looks like Typhoon Conson is peaking as a 95 knot typhoon in the W. Pacific at the moment. NRL suggests that he might cut across Japan as a weakening storm in a couple of days.

Projected path of Conson

At this moment, it doesn't even have a name, but future Typhoon (Supertyphoon?) Chanthu is looking to put a hurting on Viet NAM down the road.

Projected Path

HF: do you see any teleconnections with this one?

It's now been assigned it's name. Looks like it could be a Category 2 typhoon by the time it nears Vietnam.
