Big time Nor'easter coming
      #33967 - Thu Oct 14 2004 06:42 PM

I have watched this very carefully over the past couple of days, and nothing much has changed really; the GFS and the GFDL have been on target so far and therefore I have no reason to have a change in the no'easter's path. The pressure is excepted to be at a low of 960's (mb), spining over Lake Huron, if this is ture by 7'o clock PM tommorrow the pressure would have to drop about 35 mb's! The center is already starting to act up, the percipatation swath is on the increase as percipatation was bereft before. With that strong cold front coming down, mixing is on the increase and will add some power to the previous present cold front. There will be a major amplifcation in the trough in the next 24 hours followed by a strong negative tilt. If you are in the area were the center will be, I would advise to get prepared, winds could exceed 50 mph.

If you look at a doopler radar image, you can see the classic comma shape taking shape. The front is also starting to act up, when you wake up in the morning, it's going to be a monster.
