Is it just me, or does the low off of the NC/Va coast look alot like a TD / TS in the past couple of hours (5/7/05 9 AM - 1PM EST)? Vis looks like a small warm core with , very tightly wound.
Thoughs?

It's more of a psuedo warm-core gale, then a depression...keep in mind it still has frontal trough's and such. But what is amazing is the winds; consistent winds of 40, 50 and even 60 (gusts in the 70's)! If this were later in the season, we would have an alex type storm to start off the season, not a good indication of how the season would be! The pattern is perfect for a 'homegrown' trouble.

If this system moves into the GS, it could explosively deepen. This could be our , and hopefully it will hit Nantucket.
