I was checking the recon decored -- teddy's version -- and it appears as though there is a little bug in the field for the distance of the maximum flight-level wind. For instance, for 180 deg/10 n. mi. from the latest Cindy recon, it comes out with 180 (deg & n. mi), disregarding the 10. Changing the data around doesn't change the result, unfortunately, so it doesn't appear to be a one-time bug.
Example noted above:
Maximum Surface Winds Were Estimated At: 45 KT (51.75 MPH)
Estimated Surface Winds Were Measured At: 180 NM (207 miles) From Center At Bearing 180°
Actual report:
E. 180 DEG 10 NM
F. 210 DEG 48 KT
