A slow moving tropical wave in the central Atlantic well east of Puerto Rico may be developing a circulation center near 17.8N 40.8W. The system is gathering convection this evening although little forward movement has been observed. Some induced shear is evident to the west. Organization is poor, but improving.
There is little chance that meteorologists can solve the mysteries of weather until they gain an understanding of the mutual attraction of rain and weekends. ~Arnot Sheppard
