Sunday Evening Update: Very little change in overall structure during the day, however movement is slowly to the west and models tend to move the system more to the west rather than the northwest. Still a marginal chance for further development over the next couple of days.
Tropical low with active (but waning) convection southeast of Barbados at 13/12Z and currently stationary. System is located in a small area of light wind shear and has a marginal chance for development into a Tropical Depression prior to Tuesday morning. Shear increases rapidly to the north of the system. A slow movement to the northwest is anticipated.

Statement says a depression could be forming. Could the operative word. Said 33mph winds reported over the islands currently.
Guess we will keep watching...

On November 30/December 1, 1925, a minimal hurricane struck between here and Tampa… so we are still climatologically ‘in the season’, so to speak. As for Gamma… If the peninsula is spared the somewhat remote liberty of a direct hit, I imagine at least something may connect with this '3rd' shortwave player everyone is talking about. Fun fun fun.
I would be really interested in a hybrid kinda’ storm in the Gulf. Just to see it, you know? These late season storms are infinitely fascinating to me, as I really don’t understand them.
