I'm going to say that it will hit the TX/LA border at Cat 2.

No prediction, but look at the path of the Great Galveston Hurricane compared with Chris...with some poleward movement in the Gulf, there's quite a bit of similarity.

Since even the NHC often-times has a tough time with predicting intensity I'll play it safe and go with a Chris of some variety arriving at the middle Keys around 2:00 a.m EST on Monday.

I have a feeling this thing will be like Dennis last year if it makes it to the GOM. I would say landfall at a cat 3 maybe a 4 w/ alot of fluctuation in intensity.

As far as land fall i will say probably around morgan city LA

No idea on landfall prediction, anywhere but New Orleans would be okay with me. We are just now repairing the levee system here, and we do not need any storm surge like Katrina. 20' plus was way too much, anymore this early in the season would not be good for the city.

My take is mexico or brownsville... My reasoning is that there is too much high pressure and heat over the south central usa to the gulf to allow anything north perhaps lasting all season - a continuation from this winter.. The mods deleted my post, lol

No, a Mod deleted your post. If you wish to contribute to the board be wise...
