TUTT
      #74997 - Sat May 26 2007 11:31 PM

I am seeking some clarification on TUTTs and their formation. I know that the TUTT is a summer feature that is sustained differently from a mid-latitude trough. However, I have never come across a clear explanation of exactly how the TUTT forms and what is precisely the difference in sustaining mechanisms from a mid latitude trough. I have a general idea, but it is still a bit fuzzy. Can someone offer an explanation? Thanks.
