Hurricane Dean Posts Are Ending Up in the Disaster Forum
      #77231 - Mon Aug 20 2007 12:08 AM

I have a quick question,

I have been posting in response to Hurricane Dean and these end up somehow being in the Disaster Forum. I click on them to view the new posts in the Disaster Forum and they take me right back to the page on Hurricane Dean in the 2007 News Feedbacks page. Is this coincidencial or is this happening to everyone??

It appears that it is happening to nearly everyone tonight. I'd guess that it'll be resolved shortly, given that Mike is lying around working on a new post.

Edit: should be fixed now with the new thread up.

Copied from my Main Page post:

There is a known problem with post-linkage that we have not yet resolved. The corruption problem happens when a Moderator deletes/moves a post. The move goes okay, but the Forum that the post was moved from will still show it as the 'latest post' - even though it is no longer there. When you click on the post (in the latest post area) it sends you off to the Forum that the post was moved to.

Use the Site Suggestions Forum to report problems - DO NOT send Mod Alerts for system errors - the Moderators cannot correct this type of error. Until the problem is resolved, using the 'latest post' link on the Forum Listing page may not take you to the correct Forum.

In this instance, the User put the 'heads-up' in the correct Forum.
