      #77576 - Thu Aug 30 2007 03:00 PM

I was wondering what is the largest Atlantic tropical storm or hurricane?

I survived: Hurricane Bonnie (1998), Hurricane Dennis (1999), Hurricane Floyd (1999), Hurricane Isabel (2003), Tropical Storm Ernesto (2006)

Are you talking largest radius of hurricane force winds or are you using another parameter to determine largest?

My historical knowledge is fairly limited on this subject, but I believe Hurricane Floyd in 1999 registers the largest TS force winds at a diameter around 580 miles. Anyone think of one bigger?
