Area of Interest - ENE of Puerto Rico

I guess that its not over until its over. Surface trough interacting with a potent upper level low creating a convective flare-up about 500 miles to the east northeast of Puerto Rico. Low center of Invest 94L near 19.2N 59.2W at 10/00Z moving west at 20mph into an area of decreasing wind shear. Sustained winds of 35kts, so if the system acquires tropical or subtropical characteristics it could become a named system - there is a small chance that this could occur. SST of 27.5C. The next name on the list is Olga.

Movement should continue to the west or even slightly south of due west with the system moving into the Dominican Republic late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
Cheers,
ED
