Site Updates

There have been a few behind the scenes programming changes on the website, mostly with image handling and also on the Historical Coordinate listings. There is a known issue on the wiki based pages, but it should be fixed soon.

The new layout may have issues when the first depression or named storm comes out (if it does early anyway), but it should be fixed relatively soon.

The front page pop up warnings/alerts now have a radar bar that appears when you hover over an area message. On the right is several various loops that you can click on to see in detail or hover over to see a quick radar popup.

Well not quite, the pages themselves, but credential transfer is still broken if you haven't done it on a computer there yet, so some pages you may not be able to edit (logged in) unless you have edited them before on the same browser. I discovered it trying to update our donations page.

I'll be fixing this one soon.

o Fixed site issue where IE8 wasn't handling js includes properly on main page, potentially causing IE to hang. Browsers other than Internet Explorer did not have this issue.

It's been difficult to load this site - both at home and here at work. Would the Wiki problem be the issue?

Checking through a dialup connection right now and it's seems flawless. No hangs or pauses anywhere.
Noticed a couple of hangs/locks on the flhurricane.com url over the weekend even on DSL. Probably was the IE8 issue.

That was my thinking, too. I've had absolutely no problems using Firefox.
