Hurricane Ida Entering Gulf Today
      #87214 - Sun Nov 08 2009 09:14 AM

It will be interesting to see what happens on this extratropical transition. With the NHC not issuing watches or warnings, it also has an interesting legal impact on homeowners insurance in the state of Florida because hurricane deductibles are tied directly to issuance of watches and warnings. I know that does not play into their thinking; but it could make for some tricky situations if Ida affects the Florida coast with around hurricane force winds (not likely but possible) and there are no NHC watches and warnings up.
