Tropical Storm Karl has formed in the western Caribbean Sea and should make landfall on the Yucatan peninsula, perhaps near Costa Maya, shortly before Noon on Wednesday as a strong tropical storm. Simple, the upper ridge over the southern tier of the US is expected to amplify and send Karl to the west and possibly southwest near the end of the period. Karl is no threat to TX or the Gulf coast.
