How much time?

I have a few friends who live down in the florida keys and I was just curious how much time would they have to get to a safe area incase of the danger of a hurricane? Just curious. Thanks,

I suppose it would depend on the speed and size of the storm itself, even though I don't have much knowledge in this area.
