We've got steady 20 mph winds now with gusts 26 mph+, heavy low clouds. I can feel the pressure is dropping, good weather joints that I have! did enough damage here with the tornados and winds, lost so many oaks in this area we're still not clear of the debris. I just have a real gut feeling none of us will be spared much from Jeanne's wrath.

I live in Deltona, about 20miles inland. Last night the map showed the eye coming right over us. Now today they show the eye going to the west of us. They also now say that we should only get 50-65 mile an hr winds. How true does anyone think that she is going to come further inland then last night and then turn nw? I just got on and do not know what is going on with the high pressure, if it is even there anymore.

Noticed the northward "wobble", probably just correcting itself from the southward wobble it made earlier when it reached the Bahamas. Right now most of the models seem to be in agreement of a south Florida landfall heading WNW across the state, and curving up near the west coast of Florida, then back to the NE into GA.

South Fla Landfall????
I think of South Fla as Ft Lauderdale/Miami.
This is going to strike North of Palm Beach probably around
Vero Beach. That is the start of Central Florida.
Looks like a slight WNW movement may be taking place now.
Anyone else notice this???

By the way, as many of you already know.
If Jeanne strikes N. of Plam Beach, as a cat 3 it will make history as the first MAJOR hurricane to strike the Fla East Coast N of West Palm Beach since records were kept.

Well southeastern Florida then. I guess I was considering south Florida anything from about WPB southward.

Guys,
This is no joke! It looks like Jeanne will come ashore as a CAT 4 tonight between Palm Beach and Vero Beach early on Sunday morning. This will be worse then , maybe as bad as Andrew at landfall. It's a tough call where it exits into the Gulf Of Mexico. I forecasted Bayport to Tarpon Springs with a possible Tarpon Springs to Sarasota exit window. BUT right now the whole window of Bayport to Sarasota is possible. Allot of us inland are really going to get blasted with hurricane force winds gusts past 100 mph. I just don't know for sure at the moment if the worst will be north or south of the I-4 corridor.

Martin County (Stuart), St Lucie County (Ft Pierce), and Indian River County (Vero Beach) are part of an area called the Treasure Coast, which is located in South Central Florida.
Wind: 23 mph / 37 km/h from the North
Wind Gust: 31 mph / 50 km/h
Pressure: 29.64 in / 1004 hPa and falling
Power starting to flicker. Better power down. Good luck everybody!
