Thanks to all...Hopefully she will look like her Mom!!!
Things are returning to normal a bit here, so I should be online a bit more in days to come (other than a national weather conference I am attending in a couple of weeks...)...although it looks pretty quiet at the moment. I am concerned about homegrown trouble in the BOC/GOM/Carib over the next couple of weeks, but there is no "trigger" that I see at this point...

Well my roof is very old about 22 yrs old and has withstood the elements for quite some time. Yesterday we had a "Tropical Rain Storm" as JB calls it come up here. It ripped some shingles off the old roof but that was not the reason we got a new one. We had already planned to get it, so it worked out well!

There is a short article in Florida Today on models. FSU computer model helps track storms

The models are predicted one very strong high to build in after the front moves on through. The ETA has the trough becoming quite sharp in amplitude when it's digging down, it must have tapped into a cold pool. Hopefully the ETA will not be wrong about this as it was in the tropics this year, me and some people I know have a bet going on this...

Yeah, lou, I noticed that too...I think some can view them and some can't...I'm not a computer guy, but I think it has something to do with browser settings and perhaps installed software (like quicktime, wmp & realplayer). There must be some reason some people can't view some attachments while others (obviously) can. Right now, let's just get through the season, then in November/December Mike can apprise the situation...

The images are saved in .gif or .jpg format with no plugins needed. I got my attachment to work by hosting it on my webserver and linking it as opposed to uploading it to the server.
