darn.
I was in the 2001 hurricane season.......
I made landfall, and exited the coast in the same place.......
I redeveloped off of the Delmarva coast.....
I died off of Nova Scotia.....
Who am I?

you got two of the facts right, but not the storm..... sorry.
While GASTON did redevelop off of the Delmarva, and die off of NS, this sytem, in this round, was almost considered a Hybrid..... I will give a few more clues.
I formed in the GOM....
I have a girls name....
I was retired,but I was only a tropical storm.....

Ok, this is a little vague, but try this one:
I was a borderline Cat4/Cat 5 in mid November...
I was the last storm of the season...
and I went the wrong way...

Damm...though your despriction was vague, especially "went the wrong way." Mtitch did landfall on Florida so buttons on eggs.

... but mitch wasn't a near cat 5 in november. He was 190 sustained in October.
