I dont think its good news for anyone as right now I don't think that the mid Gulf Coast has a total lock on this system and at the moment there is a se component in the movment though that may have stopped.
My prob is that I don't see it looping wnw nw back into the BOC as fast as they seem to project on tv..
So... as far as Im concerned its open season on where izzy will go and good grief indeed if it gets back over warm water.

I hope that scenario doesn't pan out Frank. Persons in TX,LA,MS,AL really need to get prepared. I waited until the last minute with Floyd, and even though he didn't hit Florida, it got a "little" wicked. And putting up plywood with gusting going on, is not the funnest thing to do on your day off. Do your shopping now, it's not like the stuff will go to waste.

Keeping in mind that he may not get to 93W as forecast.I think it looks like he could start a true turn north soon enough that the panhandle is back in play. The door is kicked open a little wider because of this stall. At least it's over land.

I thought of that also..orientation of the eye however I dont see any westerly component and i would think it is less likely that it would loop back fast based on the wv loop.

Speaking of Plywood...Pllywood in a Cat 4/5 does not always work. However, if you do not have shutters plywood is next best choice. IF you have to plywood up your windows/doors...make sure you install the CORRECTLY...any mistake can mean you lose your roof!

Good point Floridacane.... been there done that... sheet of plywood makes a nice sail in storm force winds...
Loiscane, I never said the northern GC had a lock on this thing, obviously it depends on the predicted forecast... and until it starts moving north its all irrevelant...
if you have been reading my post everything hinges on PROJECTED forecasts... and they can be wrong... what I've said is from TX/LA line to Pen... right now I favor something west of NO... but I'm guessing like everyone else... My original forecast 4 days ago was Pensacola....
but I never saw any east component with this system tonight nor did the ever acknowledge such a movement... if there was one it was insignificant at best

I watched the loop tonight until my eyes bugged out. The SE movement people see, seems to be when the eye was clouding up. It still looks like a S wobble to me. I really don't see the SE at all.
Tell me about it Frank, I sailed off the back off my truck lifting up a piece of plywood, hurt like hell when I landed.
Another piece of advice, I used a Ram set to install my plywood, works really well, but leaves big gaping holes in the stucco when you take them off.

the last frame on the infrared loop, definitely showed a slight movement to the west....if this verifies on another loop, in say 20 more minutes...izzy has started it's resumption of the predicted westward movement...then nw, then n, then ne...then lights out....
for someone...and NO, I don't wish it on anyone...
good advice on the plywood. but UNLESS it's a cat 4 or better...plywood isn't really necessary...IMHO....
of note is this...if this thing stays unpredictable...they'll have to have a MASS EVACUATION...and no way the routes north can handle all the people..could you imagine a cat 4-5 hitting New Orleans...and everyone stuck on the freeways, trying to get out?.......I pity the guys making those tough decisions...
this is gonna get nasty, real nasty...

My neighbor went through Andrew, she lived in Cutler Ridge. She agrees, plywood in a Cat 4 or 5 makes flying missiles. She had her neighbors fly through her front window.

Would think that there is the open door for that projected cone to keep bending a bit more to the left.
How does Izzy's next few days affect TD 13?

After not updating for a while the ir floater seems to be up again. Looks like he's headed ws or wsw again.

The NOAA site has been having problems, probably load related. Too bad, since they seem to have the most up to date stuff.
On the cancun radar, Isidore seems to have stalled, but in the last frame I think I see a slight westerly drift.

Looks like Izzy has gotten bored with terrorizing the Yucatan and wants to go for a swim in the BOC now. Last couple frames certainly look like the westard movement has begun, wonder if this is gonna turn into the northwestard motio soon? At the present rate this thing is just gonna tour the golf and harrass everyone. Anyone know what the longest life for a hurricane has been?
