Kennedy Space Center just had a band come through. Little bit of wind, little bit of rain-that's all. The sky looked more ominous than what happened weather wise.

I'll be keeping an eye on this topic since I am a little twitchy about my aunt in Coconut Creek ( 26.2° N 80.2° W ) One good thing is that my cousin is there with here, helping her pack for a move closer to her children. She's inland, which is good, and on an upper floor which is good in a watery storm like ... but still ..
Oh... my sister called her last night and as of last night she was totally unaware of ... so I'm glad my sister called to warn her.

Now we are getting another band. This one is more impressive, but only for the amount of rain. It is sheeting, like going through a car wash. Wind is pretty benign.

Our weather here in Palm Bay is up and down. We were just sunny, now were starting to darken up again. We're sustained at about 20 with gusts to 34. Looks to be another round coming here shortly.

Here in (most of y'all's) State Capital, it's a beautiful afternoon. Fair-wx cumulus, little vertical development. 70% POP apparently will not verify, and we must be experiencing sinking air on the outer periphery.
Now if the 96 hour track and intensity forecast would only bust too!

Just signed up and checking in from Margate - Broward County FL, about 12 miles NW of downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Steady light rain and breezy all morning, had a decent squall push thru around 10AM, since then not much, but the breeze is increasing.
Too bad will likely come ashore at night, I'd love to take some pictures of the eye. If the forecast is correct it will be right over my house! I've been thru alot of storms but this one has all the makings of a direct hit so hopefully it will stay as a weak Cat1
I'll check in later with an update.

Its overcast with driving rain and gusts of wind, and has been for the afternoon.
One fond off our Royal Palm tree...moved it to the garage. We're about 14 miles inland, and about 2 blocks from the Broward/Palm Beach county line.

Yep she's cranking up now, eye wall (as seen from the radar) has crossed onto land. Wind is blowing a good 30 mph with stronger gusts (to 45 maybe) and quick bursts of rain.

Wind has increased significatly and also shifted direction here in NW Broward - it was almost due N, but now seems to be more NE. The center of the storm has shifted south on the radar and this accounts for shift in winds as well. The backside of the storm looks very nasty and this shift means the eye itself should miss my location and come ashore in Hollywood, FL. However that also means the worst part of the storm (NE quad) will come much closer to me.
My wife just got home from work and said the wind nearly blew her car off the road. She also reports several smaller palm trees are down already. Power has flickered once so far.

Conditions down here are worsening, but that is a relative term. All is well. Definitely windy and rain is steady. Branches have fallen, but no sightings of fallen trees.

Wind is blowing a good 40 with gusts pushing into 60 or higher. Branches down and my satellite TV fades in and out every now and then. Rain is steady but not heavy, right now its just the winds that are really whippin' out there. Center appears to have come ashore at the Broward/Dade county line.
