I'm going out on a limb and say its not going to hit the peninsula of Fla at all. It will either go to the panhandle of the Alabama coast

Just south of Punta Gorda and Sebastion, although that's a tough call.

Predicting the strength is a lot easier. All you have to do lately is add one level more dangerous to the official prediction of any big hurricane. That would make it an easy 3 as it approaches land, and you can't rule out a 4.

I'm calling for a landfall south of Boca Grande. Around the Ft. Myers area. I don't think the Tampa Bay area will feel much above gale force winds.

Not sure, but I'm probably bugging out of Punta Gorda tomorrow night.

Going with the median of the northern forecast paths on Skeetobiteweather.com I'd guess it'll come ashore near Venice and leave near Mims.

Go BENGALS!!!!

I'm going with a more Northern track, I say around Sarasota. I have been thinking that from the time they said the storm was coming this way. Might as well stick with it.

Although the 11 AM guidance is going the other way, I say South + East. In near Marco Isl. exiting over Broward County/Ft. Laud.

I'm taking credit for the earliest landfall prediction (almost five days out, <20 miles from Cape Romano), although Ft. Lauderdale exit was a little low in latitude. Hope everyone in South Fla. is OK...)
