| The weather in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is deteriorating fast. At 7:30 am we were getting 47 to 55 mph winds and some rain. I have uploaded a short video at http://homepage.mac.com/ronaldgriffis/Wilma2005/Menu29.html

| In Fort Myers here...power has been out this morning but somehow just flickering on for a bit now. Winds have really picked up on the back side of . We're seeing the strongest gusts right now. Our palm trees are horizontal and satellite just went flying...not looking good outside...

| Punta Gorda has sustained wind around 35 mph with gusts up to about 45 mph, according to WINK-TV. Shutters across the lanai are rattling, white caps in the canal, no damage that I see from our northeast-facing sheltered front porch.

It looks like we're more than half-way through it.

| Rainy and windy here but not too bad - I'm comparing this to and Jeanne. It wasn't loud enough to wake me up and there's no water seeping in around the doors and windows.
We've had 3 confirmed tornado touchdowns in Brevard: Cocoa Village last night, West Melbourne near Sam's, and A1A in Satellite Beach (I think?) this morning. Scary stuff.
 I need coffee.

It's still 80F here so the front hasn't crossed yet. Wind gusts to 35mph. Two more suspected tornadoes travelling through south Brevard and Palm Bay. Not headed in my direction.

Turns out the A1A tornado was in Floridana Beach, down towards Sebastian Inlet, not Satellite Beach. Unless there were two of them?

| Collegemom,

When you say Brevard, are you referring to Brevard County? I am in Michigan right now and my grandparents home is in Cocoa. I am looking for specific information on that area. I see you are from Melbourne. I think that is near the relative area. Any information you have would be appreciated.

Light rain, thunder and lightning here in Tampa, but I'm in what I call the "triangle of protection" bordered on three sides by I-75, I-275 and I-4...it always seems the the worse of these storms stays to the S or E of us...not sure why, but it does. I've watched a band on radar come our way then slide west and miss us.

Yep...we can count our blessings once again...and man do we often get to count them!! Temps are falling here in Tampa. It looks like the rain is about to end according to Channel 8 radar. I have a feeling we are going to have a beautiful day following . It's 58 degrees out there, by golly we just might need a jacket today!

I hope all in South Florida faired well and there was no harm to life and limb.

| Current observations from my weather station in Seminole, Florida (near St. Petersburg) as of 10:15am EST 10/24/05:

 Wind: North gusting to 31mph
 Pressure: 29.50 in.
 Temperature: 60 F

The cold front has passed us, and we are getting a chilly (by Florida standards) north wind in Pinellas County right now. Our winds peaked at around 7am this morning with gusts in the range of 40-50mph, but no sustained tropical storm force winds. This is about what I expected. The highest gusts (around 50mph) were experienced along the Pinellas bayfront where the wind came unhindered across the bay.

| Last of the rain has moved on by my area. If I look out to the west it looks as if the clouds are breaking up. Temp. has fallen .5 degrees since the rain stopped. We have a forecast high of 75 today, I wonder if it will make it to that? The winds have died down considerably. I feel so bad for those in S. Florida who are going through it still.

| Rippin wind and rain in Indiatlantic 3 miles north of 192 on A1A over the last hour. Strongest winds I`ve seen so far today. Right out of the north. Theres a report of a entire house destroyed in Floridana about 15 or so miles south of here on A1A from a tornado. Quite a few reports of other tornado damage coming out as the day progresses. Got a feeling there will be some other damage around here also after the last bout of wind that just came through Brevard County the last hour........I think the worst is over, time for the cool temps to move in over the rest of the afternoon.....Weatherchef

If power may be out, then I won't worry about not hearing (at least not for awhile).

| Should be starting to slack off some up there according to radar and cooling down a bit. They had some 70mph wind at Kennedy Space Center earlier. Still a bit windy in southern Brevard but starting to taper off. I`ll be going out on a neighbor hood damage assesment walk shortly and I`m going up to the Crowne Plaza on the beach where I work to see if everything is alright. I sure don`t want to be shipped out on culinary task force again to other properties for the company that owns it. The storms destoyed it last year and its been a year of renovation and I sure hope all is good with it......Weatherchef...Special note, only lost power here for a couple of minutes. Truley amazing.

| I'm in Satellite Beach and it is still windy here, but not as much rain. We took a ride down A1A to Melbourne Beach around 11 and there didn't seem to be much damage. Lots of limbs down and "stuff" in the roads, but nothing major.

ETA - did anyone notice that there are 4 tropical waves out there??
