Another wave off Africa has been designated Invest 98L, this one's has a different situation from 97L to the west of it, mainly the affect the positioning of the Bermuda high, which makes odds much higher that it will recurve well before land.

Still it's also very early and it will be watched too.

the recurve idea sounds good. this is the first wave off Africa that has the "look" to my untrained eyes, and also has the NHC giving it a moderate chance so soon after emerging. From what I can gather from limited model data it currently isn't projected to get to hurricane status, but it has a lot of territory to cover.
