West African Wave - Pouch 03L

The first significant tropical wave of the Cape Verde season is located over the African continent at about 11N 10W at 17/04Z. The wave is expected to exit the coast of west Africa late Thursday evening to early Friday morning.

At 21/04Z the wave was located near 11N 40.5W and was still moving west to west northwest. Convection has improved slightly and with SSTs of 27.5C, the system has a slight chance for additional development in the next 36 to 48 hours before the system encounters increased windshear.
