Supertyphoon Yutu
      #99838 - Wed Oct 24 2018 12:35 AM

In just 11 advisories Yutu has explosively deepened from a TD to a 150 mph supertyphoon. It should pass through the Marianas around 24/14Z and looks poised to be one of the most severe typhoons in their history. Guam is under a tropical storm warning with the islands north of there under typhoon warnings. It appears Tinian and Saipan could take a direct hit from Yutu. These islands are always well-prepared so hopefully they can get back on their feet pretty quickly. Most of the global models eventually take Yutu into a wall of shear and dissipate it over water east of Taiwan in about a week.
