The NHC deserves to be criticized when they don't measure up. It's not that anyone could do better, it's not because they aren't trying; but it's because lives depend on them and their forecasts.

Look, it wasn't too long ago that the powers to be were going to cut out money for recon flights. It wasn't too long ago that Dr. Grey was having trouble getting funding for his research.

Constructive criticism is important. It lets the powers that be know that our citizenry along the coasts expect the best. Otherwise the problem could be ignored and services not improved.

Look on this board. Clark and HF are two young guns learning each and every day. Making sure their school or schools are properly funded is important. They deserve the best training for their hard work and efforts. By demanding the NHC and meterologists do better our officials realize that meterology and meteorology study needs proper funding.

So far this season the experts have missed more than they have hit. They are mising on the number of storms, and storms are not intensifying as predicted and they are missing on their tracks somewhat. The NHC can get better and I believe they know that and are trying very hard to do so.
