regeneration

two more questions for today. watching the remnant low that was felix, how often do named storms degenerate to the point of being non-named and then regenerate into something substantive?

relatedly, if a storm such as felix, which is now a depression, were to drift back into the carribean sea or the GOM, and grow into another monster, for example, would it be named felix as well?

i recall a bit of a discussion fray several years ago regarding one storm that was questionably re-named or renamed after undergoing a regeneration.

I do think if it regenerated it would still be felix, but do you thinks felix's left over convection in the carribean will develop?
