Newly tagged Invest 91L in the Central American Gyre heading towards MX/TX, a slow and sprawling flood threat. Bahamas hybrid well E of FL 10%/30% odd and expected to track back to the W across FL or SE US this week.

San Salvador, Bahamas - Damage update at 4:45 p.m. 09/03/04

Administrator of San Salvador, Mr. Johnson - No known loss of life on the island. No power, phones. Every community, every home on San Salvador has sustained some damage. Some Catastrophic. Rev. Jones of the United States - his home, church, and convenience store are destroyed.
Daisy Hunt of the U.S. home is completely damaged, is safe and staying with relatives.
100 homes nearly or completely destroyed. Riding Rock Hotel, roof damage. Smaller cottages damaged. Club Med unknown yet, can't get to area, but expect great physical damage due to location. Bahamian Field Station severe physical damage to all buildings. Many U.S. citizens took shelter at the Field Station in the strongest building. It withstood the storm fine and all are safe.
