Kerry a Nazi? He's been accused of a lot, but that's one label I don't think you'd ever have applied to him...

These are not my words, but if the following is true, then I think Kerry would be about as far from a Nazi than anything else:

"Heard on Rush Limbaugh today that John Kerry has Jewish roots. His grandfather was Jewish but then converted to Catholicism."

"Good article. I had heard about this famiy background before. Kerry had two Jewish grandparents, so he is ethnically one-half Jewish. As the article points out, his brother Cameron is a Jew. This might be more interesting if it were the first time a half-Jewish candidate ran for president. Barry Goldwater (1964) was also half-Jewish ethnically but raised as a Christian (Episcopalian). I don't believe it was an issue then. Kennedy's Catholicism was an issue in 1960, though he handled it very well. If Kerry is elected, he will be only the second Catholic president.

It seems that Kerry's Jewish background has not particularly influenced his foreign policy positions. At least, it hasn't endeared him to the Israelis, who seem to be much more in favor of Bush. Guess they think that a tough stance against terrorism is more important than Jewish blood in the family tree. "
