If I remember correctly from last year, there were also posting rules that govern the news talkbacks forum as well (I know this from frequently getting posts relocated from breaking the rules). there's only 2 hard and fast rules...no cussin' & no attackin'...other than that, it really depends upon what's goin' on...since it's slow, i've pretty much let everything go so far...we try NOT to let the board turn into a 'chat' room with one sentence answers between two posters...that's what the chat room is for...speaking of which, that is where you should go to discuss anything you want with others...either that or use the pm feature. we try not to let things get too "off topic" but sometimes a couple of posts (for example global warming) will be off topic...i understand this past saturday there was a bit of a problem with the main thread having a number of posts moved (i wasn't on line during arlene's landfall); the matter has been discussed and it shouldn't be a problem...
