The classic Cape Verde storm moves as an area of disturbed weather off of the coast of Africa, near the Cape Verde Islands. They traverse the entire width of the Atlantic Ocean, and compramise of some of the most infamous hurricanes in history. Hurricane Andrew, and hurricane Ivan were Cape Verde storms.
