VISIBLE SATELLITE IMAGES AND A FEW SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATE THAT THE DEPRESSION HAS DEGENERATED INTO A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE. GLOBAL MODELS AND THE GFDL WERE CORRECT IN SUGGESTING THAT THIS CYCLONE WAS NOT GOING TO DEVELOP FURTHER.
