Katrina is heading north toward the Northeast US over land, and is no longer being tracked by the hurricane center.
New Orleans is around 80% flooded, and since 91L isn't quite ready to form (although it may over the next few days) this thread will be a continuation post about general information about Katrina and it's imapacts as a storm. Knowing what hurricanes can do to an area gives you a better idea how to pepare.
